No one wants any goddamm posting police. It was bad enough that MikeP had to create mods, and even that was only for the most offensive or invasive behavriors. MikeP seems to have given his perfectly concise guidelines pretty clearly earlier:

"I encourage people to police themselves, but it's almost too easy to forget that there's a larger silent audience out there reading this stuff. Personally, I have a larger problem with people being mean-spirited, rude and disruptive than being needy or whiney -- both behaviors detract from the board."

So shut the hell up already and judiciously post if you want to post, and butt the hell out if you don't. Leave if you want to or stay if you'd rather. Just untwist your panties and move on. Christ almighty! [:(!]

Larger silent audience...so what? They don't contribute to the board, they live vicariously through it. For them, it's like watching TV. I, for one, am not going to censor my comments or make nicey nice so that each and every person viewing, or, for that matter contributes to this board gets a warm fuzzy feeling. What would be the point? This isn't a contest to see who can be the most sickly sweet, or who can ignore the most idiotic of posts.

They view the board for it's total content, not just for the mindless nattrering that has been prevalent of late. I'm sure many of them also scoop the wealth of music posted here, without so much as a thank you. The vibrant back and forth is what makes this board...if you need a comparison, step over to Radionigel.com, a board with the same topics, but devoid of any personality, interest, or posted music.

The way I look at it, the only line that has been crossed here has been done so by Andy...anything else is well within the realm of real world interaction. If it is too pulse racing or repulsive for some of the more sensitive viewers (or participants), Radionigel is a few keystrokes away.

I will Blir, just as I have since joining. If people feel the need to post their inner most thoughts, underwear choices, grazing habits or anal insertion wish lists and I choose to comment, what of it? If you choose to ignore these things, you are most likely a better man than I, however I feel the need to add my 2 cents.
