Why are you all using YouSendIt.com?

Discuss hard-to-find or out-of-print New Wave and '80s Alternative, and share a few songs along the way.
NOTE: requesting songs that are entirely unrelated to the genres discussed here or easily found on CD is strongly discouraged and posts will be enforced as needed.

Why are you all using YouSendIt.com?

It is really frustrating to catch up with a barely old thread here and find that all of the links to YouSendIt.com have expired (in case you aren't aware, files are only available on YouSendIt for 7 days).

Why not use rapdishre.de or some other site that allows for longer or indefinite downloads? Sure, the act of getting to the file may be a few more clicks or seconds, but at least they'd be there when you want them.

Just a thought.

For now, I'll just make sure to check this subforum more often.

1) I find rapidshare to be supremely annoying and usually won't bother unless it's a great track.
2) I kinda like the transiency of the yousendit for 'liability' reasons.

^^^^ [;)]Yep on both counts[;)] ^^^^

Given the quasi legal implications of all this open sharing, it limits (to a certain degree) the liability of having an open link while affording the widest availability to all concerned through the use of a 3rd party service.

Sure there are others out there mytempdir, putfile, sendthisfile, streamload, dropload etc.. but YSI appears to be the easiest and most anonymous file delivery service to use IMO.
