btw there is a fabulous Virgin compilation from 1982 called 'Methods of Dance Vol. 2' featuring a different mix of 'No Ordinary Lover' (first track Side 1) - and yes it is the "pop song", not the lengthy instrumental.

I'm confused as the Track "Watching Over burning fields" has the lyric "Watching Over burning fields" and it plays first if I remember correctly on the 12" ---I may have to call you out on this one Yip Yip....Im going to check my 12" (so to speak) this weekend....

so the song 'No Ordinary Lover' has [i]watching over burning fields[/i] in the lyrics, but the words 'no ordinary lover' are not in there at all. If someone has the 7", I think that will clarify it further.

Well that certainly makes mores sense as a title for that instrumental --- I will submit that you are right....therefore I have missnamed my mp3 files....

I have all their B-sides, and some great radio sessions, and they've never done one bad song IMO. Many of their B sides are incredible, including ones mentioned Forever I & I, Dockland, Performing Seals....also Greenacre Bay and many many others. The 2 disc set that features the bonus disc of b-sides is far from complete, but an absolute must have for any serious CC fan.

CC was an underated very talented band who were dissed by the music press at the time as being "mopey" -the NME lumped them in with The Lotus Eaters, Pale Fountains etc.....
