Spontaneous rant with no censoring

Postby ghosty » Mon Apr 24, 2006 8:21 am

Why do people call me..three..maybe four times a day to say.....uh....nothing? Oh I don't pick up or anything. I just sit there and watch it ring thinking to myself "Why are you doing this? If I spoke to you earlier, why the FUCK are you calling me again?" These people are ego-maniacal time-suckers! STOP CALLING ME!!! Nothing happened today. Nothing's gonna happen tomorrow. Leave me the fuck alone. How do I get them to not call without telling them "please don't call" and hurting their feelings? Why can't they just realise that it's pretty fucking stupid to call someone four times a day?

If the light turns green and you...YOU!!!..you jaywalking prick who feels he has the right to walk across the road regardless of what the traffic lights indicate..if you get hit by a car and wind up in the hospital..it's your own damned fault. You broke the law! If a car goes through a red light and injures someone it's the driver's fault, so naturally if a car goes through a green light but some dufus wants to make a break for it and ignores the little blinking red hand signaling him not to cross...then that person gambled with his life and lost. Plain and simple.

I think back to all the debates on this board: Republican-vs-Democrats? Religion: bad? Good?, Did Bush know about 911? Did he allow it? Nuke Iran? All the fights and arguements that led to name-calling, people deleting posts, people quitting the board...

...you know what?

...none of these arguments and debates have ever come up in my real life with real people....EVER!

Only here in this artificial environment where everybody goes by pretend names.

One final thing: The band you love the most and think will survive through the ages because their music is timeless and such a major contribution to our culture....that band will be forgotten and nobody will give a shit. Just ask Ida Cox? who? Exactly.

God, that felt good.

Have a nice day![:)]

The Debates on these boards, I do have conversations about politics often. Actually, many that you mentioned here.

Most of my conversations with friends and co-workers go like this:

"Do you have enough money?"
"Nope"
"Me niether"
"How are you going to pay the bills this month"
"I have no idea"

XXX..your thing won't load on this crummy PC so I'll take that as a "screw you!" I suppose.

LOL Ghosty. I love it when you get uppity. [8D]

I have the political and especially the religious conversations with people all of the time. I just don't feel right if I go a day without pissing aomeone off. [;)]

The pedestrian thing used to piss me off but no more. Now I throw the car in neutral, rev he engine, and throw my hands up to my my face like I'm about to hit them. Try it - it's funny as Hell.

And you know as well as I do that SY will never be forgotten.

Nice rant though.

LOL.
I must run in different circles. I don't know anyone who is religious and I don't act religious so it never comes up. I just assume everyone hates Bush as I hate Bush so it never comes up.
(NYC after all)

Idiot woman tried to rush across the street today pushing a stroller into ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I can't take it. I just can't take it any more.

...and I think Sonic Youth, Elvis, The Beatles and you name it will probably not be listened to in a hundred or two hundred years outside of a few music archivists. It does'nt matter if they survive or not really. They served their purpose when they were needed.

Hey ghosty, you need to get yourself one of these and your troubles will soon end!

LONGMONT, Colorado (AP) -- A man who said he bought a device that allowed him to change stop lights from red to green received a $50 ticket for suspicion of interfering with a traffic signal.

Jason Niccum of Longmont, Colorado, said the device, which he bought on eBay for $100, helped him cut his time driving to work.

"I guess in the two years I had it, that thing paid for itself," he told the Daily Times-Call on Wednesday.

Niccum was issued a citation March 29 after police said they found him using a strobe-like device to change traffic signals. Police confiscated the device.

"I'm always running late," police quoted Niccum as saying in an incident report.

The device, called an Opticon, is similar to what firefighters use to change lights when they respond to emergencies. It emits an infrared pulse that receivers on the traffic lights pick up.

Niccum was cited after city traffic engineers who noticed repeated traffic light disruptions at certain intersections spotted a white Ford pickup passing by whenever the patterns were disrupted.
