America's grade school system is garbage. But the higher up you go in education, the better it becomes. Most of "preparing for the job market" comes from a personal drive to succeed and not education per se.
Illegals are a tricky subject. Being an immigrant I prefer the legal route but I also understand the financial reasons behind using their labor.
