I had to find it on youtube, but this episode of Ren & Stimpy "Farm Hands" was aired on Nikelodeon in the late afternoon hours and i watched it with my son (then about 6 years old) and now i saw it on the dvd's. Well, decide for yourself, innapropriate or not for kids. I personally think it's funny as hell, but, It's a little to much for kids to watch IMHO. Should i lighten up or am i right on this, especially the part right after the pigs send them to do chores.

eh...it's just cartoons. I'm more offended by the networks editing the crap out of the classic Road Runner cartoons, then not even playing the edited (crap) versions at all, because no one was watching the edited crap (can you blame them?)

What kills me is that, with at least three channels devoted to cartoons (and a chunk of anime on G4) that the Max Fleisher cartoons get NO play, and the old Warner Brothers cartoons are rarely shown anymore. Something's not right in CartoonLand.

I agree with the editing the old loony toons and max fleisher cartoons! Some of the editing appauls me!! And Ted Turner Wont play any Speedy Gonzales Cartoons on Cartoon Network because they think it's degrading to Hispanics and he's got owner ship of them for a few more years.

What i was saying about this particular episode is the blatant Handjob and money shot by stimpy from the gorilla so "Eh, it's just cartoons" doesnt really cut it when young kids are involved. That kind of contradicts you're other comment in the other thread about how you screen all your kids shows. Did you even watch it? Just wondering.

Naw. I only watch the John Kricfalusi episodes. If I see "directed by Bob Camp" or anyone but John K., I pass. Handjobs? Money shots? Unreal. Okay, I see your point.

But who watches Nickelodeon nowadays, anyway? That channel jumped the shark in the late 80's, after they cancelled "Photo Funnies".

Walkabout, the Nicolas Roeg film, was once rated G - and that features full nudity, animals being eviscerated, and a couple of suicides. Strangely enough, I thought it was one of the best films I've seen. I watched it with my little brother, who was 11 at the time.
