You must see either one of them. You're welcome to see both, but not neither.

Anything With Samuel Jackson (Mace Windu to the lay person).
I've heard good things, i hope it's true.
I already saw the tv flight 93, so i'll probably pass. I already consider them heroes. [;)]

Call me sensitive, but I honestly think it's a little too soon for 9/11 related movies. I don't know when the "right" time would be but I don't think it's now, less than five years after the fact [|)] What 9/11 has spawned has'nt even fully played out yet.

Marv, you're sensitive.

People need to periodically get kicked in the balls, so they won't forget what 9/11 was...a declaration of war against our way of life. Hiding our heads in the sand will get our asses blown off. Folks need to wake up. If it takes a movie to do it, so be it.

I've been called worse [:D] Seriously though, I appreciate your clarity of vision in what 9/11 was and I hope you don't think that I'm hiding my head in the sand. The attack certainly needed a response. And I for one will never, ever forget what happened that day, as long as I live. Maybe this is how the media and entertainment machine works in this day and age. With so many sources of twenty four hour television, internet, magazines, et. al. offering so many different points of view and a seemingly overall limited attention span of the general public, you'll get a movie of this sort in order to send a mesage that stands apart from the rest.

I like snakes. I like snakes biting people. I like people screaming & running away from snakes. It's a no brainer for me.

I don't think I'm hiding my head in the sand at all about 9/11. I don't want to see the movie because I think it is too soon. I have not resolved a lot of the feelings I have about it.

Maybe it's because I live in New York State, but we still hear something related to 9/11 at least once a day. It is always in the back of my mind. I imagine those in NYC have it double of what we upstaters do.

I don't think United 93 is too soon, nor do I think it would have been too soon 3 or even 4 and a half years ago. I just have no interest in seeing it.

Snakes all the way!!!

Right, that's in the neighborhood of what I meant when I said that what 9/11 has spawned has'nt even fully played out yet. I'm just not ready for an artistic interpretation of the day yet. And I know that the film's supposed to be objective but still.....I'd prefer to have closure to the disaster and the long string of events that came afterward in reality first.

I'll pass on the Flight 93 movie: I'm not up for anything of the sort just yet.

So, instead, I will gouge out my eyes and jab icepicks in my ears so that I can go to that Samuel Jackson movie.

I hate you, Otters.

I think its too soon. How would it be if in 1945 they had schindlers list or some other holocaust movie? Some time has to pass.

Difference: after Pearl Harbor, we went in and started to clean house. After 9/11, we limped along, and for appearances, declared war on Saddam (not that he didn't have it coming, but I digress...). Meanwhile, Osama is still free, and Iran is giving a free pass to obtain nuclear technology. We need to kick the current administration in the ass, come together as a nation, and wipe out the fuckers responsible and/or condoning invading and attacking our country, namely ANY of those radical bastards that cheered for the attack on New York City and Washington D.C. And some of those cheering it on are living right here, on American soil. Ungrateful bastards need their citizenship revoked.

And if it takes a movie to refresh our memories, hey, rock on. We need to remember every detail, until we clean up the mess we've been ignoring.

Hate if you want, but you know I'm right on this.

Don't hate the playa, hate the poll.

I'm with everyone that doesn't need to see United 93. I worked in Manhattan on 9/11, and my apartment in Brooklyn was directly downwind of the towers. I still cringe just seeing the stock photo of the burning towers that are used every single time 9/11 is discussed in a news story.

Oh, Otters, you're a good guy.

I don't want to see either movie, but the less offensive one would be the snake movie. I've heard that it is so SO horrible that it's laughable.

I'm too emotional to see the United 93 movie.

Oh, man! I voted for the wrong movie! Crap! I accidentally hit the United button when I meant to hit the Snake button.

Crap.

I have to go (unwillingly) with United 93. There are two things in the world that I am terrified of--as in hand-wringing, heart-pounding, sweat-making, about-to-puke-and/or-piss-my-pants terrified-- and those two things are planes and snakes.
