South Park 2006 Season

Postby StormyPetrel » Sat Apr 29, 2006 11:53 am

I have found it to be pretty damn funny. But, I'm easy.

The Al Gore "I'm Cereal!" bit was funny. "Super duper cereal!"

I also was shocked that they tried to pit Muhammad in one of the episodes. I thought that they made an interesting point that the network suits would allow them to show Jesus defecating on others and being defecated on, but would not show Muhammad handing that Family Guy a helmet made of salmon. Oh, well.

Oh, Chef returns was funny too.

Uhhhh.. can't wait for that season to be put on here. We are way behind in South park seasons and that makes me mad cause all the other shows are sort of up-to-the-date.
But I like SP more than any other series of the type. Way more than Family Guy and tahn the last 5 seasons of The Simpsons.

After 10 seasons South Park is starting to show its age a bit. Don't get me wrong, I still download every episode and laugh my tits off but I can't help but feel like its only still on so Matt and Trey can vent their anger at stuff. Drawn Together is my current favourite animated comedy thing. Its just so, so wrong, in the same way that South Park was considered wrong when it first started.

Unwatchable episode. Ditto the James Frey parody the week before. However, "The Return of Chef" and "Cartoon Wars" episodes were brilliant AND hilarious. Seems like Trey and Matt have to be truly pissed off at a subject to hit one out of the park. And what better subjects than $cientology, TV censorship -- and the fact that "Family Guy" is just a random string of non-sequiturs and pop culture refs -- to be pissed off about?
