The only thing that these songs have in common is that I had never heard of them before lurking on NWO and I like them (for different reasons) enough to stick on mp3 player rotation:

<a href="http://www.cyberus.ca/~cs/Sicilian Vespers - Baccala.mp3">Sicilian Vespers - Baccala</a> right over the top.

<a href="http://www.cyberus.ca/~cs/Balaam & the Angel - Day and night (12 inch version).mp3">Balaam & the Angel - Day and night (12" version)</a> from an mskremember compilation

<a href="http://www.cyberus.ca/~cs/Rainmakers - Small circles.mp3">Rainmakers - Small circles</a> a bit AOR but it works

and, lastly from a recent vinyl rip:

<a href="http://www.cyberus.ca/~cs/Pukka Orchestra - Goldmine in the sky.mp3">Pukka Orchestra - Goldmine in the sky</a> an easy target, but...

Here's another Shona Laing classic - Highway Warriors. Not as known as her others but a great track nonetheless.

Enjoy & drive safely! [:D]

Thanks, Lemmi. I found it on YouTube, of course. It was disappointing. Instead of smashing up some computerized world, Den is a mad scientist cloning a woman. The whole video he's just working in a lab. Oh well. I was glad to see it. Wish they'd done more with the song. But I guess video budgets were lower in Italy at the time.

Deliciously quirky with a funky ass driving electro beat and yummy vinyl crackles:

Here's another one. The first thing I thought of the first time I heard this was that it was kind of a Kraftwerk lite, for those who find them a bit too dehumanized I guess.

OK--Thought I would throw one more Schemers track at you. This is an unreleased demo but was always one of my favorite songs by them.

Okay... I am completely new to the forum but I am hooked and I love this thread. My contribution is "Traction" by Ampersand and I have to declare that the yousendit.com link is actually from BigBri who was kind enough to respond to my very first forum post, a request for this song. Thanks again BigBri!

I'll admit that my first thought for response to this thread was "Send Me an Angel" by Real Life but I don't have a copy handy. My next thought was "AEIOU sometimes Y" by Ebn Ozn but I don't know that I ever had a copy of that... Cool tracks though.

Here's a little known synth driven favourite from the mid eighties.
