OK Frayo, you've encouraged me to do some more digging [^] Here's what I'm coming up with. Honestly, I have'nt seen Tron in years and don't remember for the life of me what the soundtrack sounded like. I guess you could say that I'm rescoring the movie in my mind [:p]

Crap! If you didn't have good taste in music, I'd blow off your music posts, Marv. This is F-N torture. I've tried and tried, but can't save those m4a songs, and the two tracks that I can (YMO, Rachel Sweet) in mp3 I already had. Did Satan send you here to torture me?

Dude! What's so hard about going to apple.com and downloading iTunes for free? You can use it to play m4a's or convert them to mp3's.

Go there. Now.

http://www.apple.com/

Don't post until you have it. It's just better.

Holy crap, Marv. I see what you're saying. iTunes works much quicker than Window Media Player. It burned a disc in half the time WMP does.

Taking the long way 'round, iTunes allows you to rip an album (in .wav) format to rip to mp3 later - at your own bitrate.

If I buy an album from there, I usually do that. That way I don't have to join the Boo Berry Mac Cult. [:o)]

It's no wonder that Macintosh uses the Apple as a logo, since it is simply and plainly the work of the Devil.

Here you go.

This is the other track I was talking about.

Art Nouveaux - Fear Machine.

Painfully obscure.
100 copies released.
This was done by the band that would later recuit Christopher Hamill (AKA Limahl) to become their lead vocalist.
Hamill brought new style and eventually they became the band-
KAJAGOOGOO.

This single hails form 1979. They were a TOTALLY different band then.

Ignore the cheesy intro, this was the intro included on the flexidisk sent out to the fans/subscribers of the Kaja newletter in the mid 80s called "Kajafax:.

Thanks for the Fear Machine, Frayo. What do you think of Aphex Twin? For the sake of interest and curiosity, check out the unreleased Melodies From Mars album. Very heavy synths.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melodies_from_Mars

If you ever want it, I have it.

Also, check out this Hovering Glows action by Terre Thaemlitz:

Plus, I have a CD loaded with actual Vince Clark samples if you're into it.

iTunes works much quicker than Window Media Player.

Both are bloated trash.

EAC = best (eg. accurate) CD-DA ripper available (~3MB)
LAME.EXE = best MP3 encoder available (200KB)

Audio players ... lots available, such as the Winamp that someone else mentioned. Foobar is quite popular also.

All free, only for Windows.

I love Winamp.

It rocks my universe. I've got so many add-ons and strange homemade thingamajiggers made on it...its not even recognizable anymore.

Wonderful and easily modified program.
Its quite lovely.

Foobar- is nice....and really fast...wonderful audio quality. I wish it had more to help you ORGANIZE your music.

Winamps media library program works so well for me.
