I thought some of you might like this song. As far as I know, this came off a 4 song 12" back in 1987. This is the only song I have from that release. Enjoy! [:)]

No sweat ApolloZero, glad you liked it!

Does anyone have any info on this group?

I did a Google search and came up with this from our site, though I think the topic has been deleted:
—Not Necessarily New Wave—
The most elusive song/album that you CANNOT find
1/27/2005

Frayo:
"Part of Me is off of the "Self Defence" ep. It received some airplay here in Toronto."

Thanks for checking Panorama. That EP is all I know of them as well.

Wozgo:

Don't remember a whole lot about them, other than they were a four man outfit. As I recall, the other songs on the ep are quite different from Part Of Me. If you need it, I can post the front/back cover...let me know.

Hahahaha, thanks yet again eight6! I'll try to post about an Australian band next time, so as to give you a break. I'd welcome the cover art if it's not too much trouble for you. You said the other songs are different from this song. In this case, does "different" translate to "not as good"? I was considering picking up the EP.

Well "not as good" would only be my opinion, but I thought they weren't as good as Part Of Me. Still, you can't go wrong if you were thinking of picking up the ep...I've only ever come across my copy so I know it is hard to come by. How the guy at Black Rhythm Records came across the 5 or 6 he has available is a mystery to me, but he seems to be the only source for the vinyl that I've seen for quite some time.

I'll try to post the front/back today (I just have to find the record...not much for accurate filing I'm afraid)[:D]

I got lucky, it was in the first place I looked (my collection isn't that big...I just collect rarities, I own very little readily available stuff) Yeah, I know, nutty right?

Thanks for those scans, eight6. It's always nice to have the artwork. I wonder what significance the missing vertical bar in the E has? It looks pretty slick whatever the reason behind it. Certainly cutting edge.

Thanks for the art -- I like it for my iTunes.
...just noticed the phone number on the back of the LP -- wonder if it still belongs to Ear Candy?

I had such an obsession with finding that song.

Then I got an email from a hub user.
They said that they just got this song ripped and knew I was interested in it..and allowed me to download it from them.

I cant remember who it was though-
but I freaked out a lot..and I love the song...totally.

I would definitely love to hear the rest of the EP though.

That would be absolutely stunning. I tried to find it, but everytime I found it, they wanted an arm and a leg for it.
I dont have many body parts left to offer anyone.
