Woodrow Wilson was a documented racist, and had serious socialist tendencies, and was ahead of his time with his "World Government" idea. Hate on me for agreeing with a "troll" but if y'all would dig up the info, you'll see just how twisted Woodrow Wilson was, and how much damage he did to this country, the effects STILL being felt today.

I would even go so far to say that, due to his actions, he made WWII possible. This is coming from the grandson of German immigrants, a former U.S. Airman, and former resident of Europe. I'm not talking out of my ass.

Turn off the TV and pick up a book, for pete's sake.

It may not be your job to teach Swamp how to wildly exaggerate as well as you do, but it is your job to learn the meaning of the word "phonics". It has nothing to do with comprehension as you seem to be implying.

Put me down next to Swamp as someone waiting for you to drop your intellectual hammer. So far you seem like a slightly less annoying version of Jimbo. Lots of hyperbole with little substance + a tendency to stereotype the "Left" to suit your arguments. That doesn't register with me as intelligence, more like agenda-driven propaganda.

^^^^^^^ [:D]Nice To Have You Back Here Beatschool![:D] ^^^^^^^

Watch Duhbya squirm in his seat at last Saturday's widely underreported last segment performance of Stephen Colberts scathing lampoon of the current administration.

“…This is a battle that can’t really be won — you either got it Saturday night (or Sunday morning, or whenever your life was made a little brighter by viewing Colbert’s performance) or you didn’t. Personally, I’m enjoying watching apologists for the status quo wear themselves out explaining why Colbert wasn’t funny. It’s extending the reach of his performance by days without either side breaking character — the mighty Colbert or the clueless, self-important media elite he was satirizing. For those who think the media shamed itself by rolling over for this administration, especially in the run-up to the Iraq war, Colbert’s skit is the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you, Stephen Colbert!”

BS, the first step of reading comprehension is learning how to read. Words have meaning, and not just those that you wish to twist into a device of your own invention.

For the record, I have few issues with liberals. I do however have issues with self-worshipping american leftists, of which you seem to be.

As far as you comparing me to Jimbo, I appreciate the compliment (even though you clearly meant it as a slam). Kind of funny that you decide to start posting here after Jimbo left. Coincidence? After your slam at me (completely out of left field, we've never been introduced) I took the time to read some of your old posts. Jimbo obviously had a easy time verbally kicking your ass.

BTW, being called unintelligent by an idiot like yourself doesn't hurt my widdle feeling either. Try harder, BS.

So hows the restaurant business doing? Hugs and kisses!

Ooh, Hutter, that's a blistering response. I'm scalded. [:)] And no, I don't have the time to be a full-time diction dominatrix on this site.

May I point out that YOU were the one who initially attempted to debunk others' arguments by impugning their literacy?

And what does that have to do with "Hooked on Phonics"? Phonics comes from phonetics, the study of speech sounds. It has nothing to do with comprehension or reading for context or meaning. Admit you're wrong and move on. It ain't hard. If you want a lesson in phonics, my father-in-law is a neuroscientist that invented the concept of neuroplasticity. Phonics have played a very vital role in the work that he does. If you're ever in the Bay Area or Sonoma County, drop by and get a lesson.

I'm curious how I twisted your words. You extrapolated that Stella was advocating the destruction of society based on a few rambling posts she made. You were the one twisting words, not me. I think Stella has her on and off moments, but she has never seemed to advocate world destruction to me.
For the record, I have few issues with liberals.
Sure, that was evident in the way you attacked MikeP, claiming he was a liberal, claiming he would censor or ban you. You're still here, so obviously he didn't do any of the things you accused liberals of practicing. If you really think you don't have issues with liberals, you need to learn to think before you write. You went from a largely apolitical member to thrashing liberals in nearly every post. If you think I'm the only one that noticed, you're wrong.
I do however have issues with self-worshipping american leftists, of which you seem to be.
Funny, I see my self as a centrist. I work with a Green party candidate whose pragmatism I believe in and am currently doing work with Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, a die-hard Republican who has more common sense than John McCain could ever muster. I'm first and foremost an egalitarian. I want people to have every opportunity this world affords, and I will always work against the oppressive types, whether they come from the left, right, or middle. You're welcome to label me however you see fit. Your little label doesn't actually define me.
As far as you comparing me to Jimbo, I appreciate the compliment (even though you clearly meant it as a slam). Kind of funny that you decide to start posting here after Jimbo left. Coincidence?
If you're trying to insinuate that I'm scared of Jimbo, get over yourself. People don't scare me, and they definitely don't scare me when they hide behind a keyboard. Hell, if I'm ever in your neighborhood, I'll drop by for a drink. Maybe you can sell me an old Archie comic or something.
After your slam at me (completely out of left field, we've never been introduced) I took the time to read some of your old posts. Jimbo obviously had a easy time verbally kicking your ass.
You're welcome to that opinion. I think it went back and forth, but then I try to be honest.
BTW, being called unintelligent by an idiot like yourself doesn't hurt my widdle feeling either. Try harder, BS.
See, this is where you approximate Jimbo. I never called you unintelligent. You had claimed earlier that you had been playing around with the NWO "intellectually challenged" and you were going to start to destroy them with your massive brain and intellect. My last stated that you haven't done that, that you have merely resorted to your personal biases and an agenda-driven point of view. Hell, in a lot of cases, I think you're right. I just haven't seen this Marilyn Vos Savant-like intellect being used yet to trash simpletons like me.

We're doing well, thank you. The restaurant is an experiment in social entrepeneurship where the workers come from low income, low education backgrounds. They are very carefully screened so we can weed out folks that lack commitment, and then they are put on a track to own the restaurant within a few years. I provide the start-up capital, they provide the manpower. My hope is to create business and homeowners within the comunities they serve. We hire 100% legal staff and are able to train in every aspect of running a business. But I'm just a stupid leftist, what do I know.

Cheers.

PS - I did blindside you, and for that I apologize. I was here long before you and was blindly rushing to get the backs of some members I appreciate that you were being a tad disrespectful of. Next time, I'll knock on your front door.

Hexi, darlin'...I believe that you mean well, but I can't take the loony comments made by those jokers as arguments. I'll give their "arguments" all the consideration they deserve. Sometimes I give their loony "arguments" too much consideration, in the spirit of Kumbaya. I'll try to change that, and start calling a spade a spade. Thanks for helping to open my eyes, Hexi.

Facts? What facts? Oh yeah, you reside on Bizarro World, where up is down and jelly is made of potatoes. I'll try to adjust myself to your brand of logic.

And don't flatter yourself with that "nemesis" jazz. You're just a diversion to me, like watching some mindless cartoon. Dance, monkey, dance.

As far as my prior statement of not holding back, I changed my mind. Some people aren't even worth the effort to say "fuck off" to.
