Teagan and Sara??

Postby cementkite » Fri Dec 03, 2004 2:03 pm

Has anyone heard of a band called Teagan and Sara?? I
heard this song called "Walking with a ghost"
yesterday on Chicago's progressive rock WXRT.

I not much of a fan of today's music, but this song not only blew me away, but to me it has all the sounds of a Cars song from
around '78-'79 (minus a lead guitar solo). The lead
singer sings like a female version of Ric Ocasek.

It has tasteful keyboards, quirky vocals, clicky
rhythm guitar etc.

I never recommend songs, but this thing pulled me
right in.

Based on your mention, I checked out their two videos via yahoo Launch.

It's pretty cool, and I am tempted to buy the CD (provided I can't find a reasonable vinyl copy!!)

Trying to think who the girl's voice reminds me of - - "Garlands" era Cocteau
