Australian vs Canadian New Wave

So how about it? Which is better? Bands like:

Martha and the Muffins, The Payolas, Men Without Hats, and the Diodes?

Or...

Men At Work, Split Enz, The Skyhooks and The Reels?

Decisions, decisions....

I have a feeling the consensus will go with Canada but I'm partial to the wave and alternative bands from Aussie-land, like:

The Church (duh!)
Midnight Oil
Go-Betweens
Triffids
Hoodoo Gurus
The Reels
Screaming Tribesmen
Lime Spiders
INXS
Menta

Although there are a lot of good 80's songs/bands from Canada,
for me it is an easy decision: Australia/New Zealand by far

The Models
Mi Sex
Dragon
Australian Crawl/James Reyne
Mondo Rock
Machinations
Pseudo Echo
Electric Pandas
Icehouse

Mondo Rock...that's one of my favorite bands, period!
Some great bands from both countries posted here. Well done, everybody!

It's very, very close for me, but I would have to pick Australia. The Finn Brothers break the tie for me. (yeah, yeah, I know they are from New Zealand...)

Too close to call on this one. Both countries have had plenty of great bands. Maybe I should choose based upon Crocodile Dundee or The Mackenzie Brothers??[:D]
