I always liked the Oingo Boingo movie "Forbidden Zone". It was made when they were called The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo. It is a fantastic film.

The best film about new wave bands or artists is 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE, which tells the story of Manchester's Factory Records (Joy Division, New Order, etc.)

...unless, of course, you count the docu-drama about Buckaroo Banzai and the Hong Kong Cavalier
