You choice and your comments as to why?
If there's more than 8 albums, I've chosen the first 8 (unless there's obvious crap in favor of some later stuff). I'll compile all the results for all the bands in one place.

The Smiths, self titled album, gets my vote. This was the Smiths when they were just simple out there to rule the world. Johnny Marr is freakin awesome. Morrissey is cool but he much cooler with the Smiths.
