It's so wonderful sharing in the ether-bliss of "Doot Doot" with everyone here. I'll always remember the first time I heard it: Time just stopped - but you could still hear the ticking, the heartbeats, the heavy breaths of your own dimension. A gorgeous aural-landscape that sends shivers through every nerve and fiber. All atmosphere and ambiance and a sense of comfort, like a sonic cocoon. I'll forever be enraptured by this, almost, music of the spheres.

Yep gotta put in my 2¢.

One of my Faves ever ---used to play it DJing (new wave nite in town) almost every nite. Didnt like 'late 80's Underworld ---BUT I adore 90's/00's Underworld....

You probably know that Freur later became Underworld. One of the guys,Hyde, has also worked on guitar sessions for Debbie Harry and Prince.

I remember "Change The Weather" by them back in, er, '90 was it?? When I first heard "Cowgirl" years later I had a hard time believing it was the same Underworld until I read the credits. Vast improvement.

Haunting melody, always makes me think about the end of the world. It kind of has a sci-fi apocalyptic quality to it, I think.

Doot Doot is one of my all time favorites. Nice to see so many other enjoying it too. Oglio has a couple boxes of the CD left in case anyone wants it. The 12" version is on Richard Blade's Flashback Favorites Volume 1.

Sorry for the plug but if it helps save someone from overpaying at Amazon or a collector site.....

We used to play the 33 1/3 version of "Doot Boot" at 45 on a college radio show. Made it a great dance tune! Sad anyone born in the last 15 years has no idea what that means.

I'm soooo glad I joined this site... others think like I do!!! This song, oh, augh! I just played the regular version, the extended version and the video (thnks for the youtube hook-up!) all back-to-back and back-to-back again, thrice in a row, with a fish and a dish... if I turn up those crickets any louder, everyone will wake up here, I really got to get to bed here, just Doot-ing away... What a *GREAT* FU*KIN' SONG, EVER... well almost, in Top 10 on a dessert island kind of song... fur shur, fuur shure! [;)]

Hey aren't these guys from Sweden, I remember when the Swedish Eagle (DJ) frist debuted this song on KROQ in Los Angeles, another sureal moment! [:D]

This song Still HAUNTS ME! almost angellic. Also Listen to Pray from Underworld. Karl Hyde and Rick Smith are pure genius.
