What were these guys all about? I know that they were a German New Wave band,and have seen a ton of their albums around in the past,but never really got a chance to buy or listen to any of their albums.Did they have a similar style to Kraftwerk? And were all of their songs sung in German language,or did they also sing some songs in English too?
Can anyone please shed some light on this band if they can? Thank you.

Sort of a darker synth sound, german vocals. If I remember right, Robert Gorl came out of DAF and has a fine solo CD of synth stuff, in english, well worth having. Someone please edit if I am thinking of wrong band for Robert Gorl.

Thanks I know who Robert Gorl is.I had no idea that he was in DAF though.I have a solo 12 inch or an album by him.Good stuff.Or maybe it is an EP that I have by him.

Robert Gorl was in DAF, as Grunch mentioned. I believe all of their albums are on CD now. Robert Gorl's solo cd " Night Full Of Tension" is definitely worth having and it is on cd. Annie Lennox guest appears on the album and sings backing vocals on "Da

Early DAF material was very much in the "Neu Deutsche Welle" vein, really harsh minimalistic synth stuff. "Dance The Mousilini" is probably the best example of thier material from this era. I've got 3 of the albums and like them quite a bit, but I reall
