Album release dates/reference

Actual music question here [:D]
Can anyone recommend a good on-line resource (other than allmusic.com) that would supply album release dates for NW artists. I'm looking for month/year, not just year . . . ideally day too.

As some of you know, I'm working on a novel set set in the 83-84 NW scene and am trying to make sure I get my references right.

Some months ago someone answered one of my release date questions at this site (can't seem to find the post) and I'd like to know what resource(s) he or she used.

This is how I do it:

Google > "Band name" + "discography"

That should get you there hexicon, unless it's a really obscure band or you're unlucky.

I use the same search. It works quite well most of the time. [:)]
