As always, I'm sure that in the depths of this forum this topic exists. But what the hey, here we go again. Some of the songs that I won't admit to liking to just anybody:

Brother Louie, Atlantis is Calling (sos for love) and Cheri, cheri lady by Modern Talking (These guys are fricken fantastic, german mullets and all)

Cheers Then, State I'm in - Bananarama (Love them, camera loves them)

Inside to Outside - Limahl (Great song)

Telephone Mama - Gazebo (When I was in High School, in order to appear different, I used to proclaim Gazebo as my favourite band, so I guess I'm not that ashamed of it after all.)

Wot - Captain Sensible ("Women and Captains first" he's a funny guy)

Puttin on the Ritz - Taco (Nothing to say)

Lost in Love, All out of Love, Every Woman in the world - Air Supply (not nw I know, I still love them and I'm afraid to tell people.)

Endless Road - Time Bandits (Anybody heard of them, they're pretty spiffy, straight out of Holland)

Shoop Shoop Diddy Wop Cumma cumma Wang Dang - ?

Somebody's Watching me - Rockwell (Maybe this shouldn't be in this list)

New Moon on Monday - Duran Duran (I love this song, alot)

C'mon, C'mon - Bronski Beat (The reason this song is here is, again, cause of the video clip, it has the singer who replaced Jimmy Sommerville in a palm tree, with two coconuts between his legs and he is shaking around this huge Banana, I kid you not. Also the singers name was Jon Jon)

Making your mind up - Bucks Fizz (This song never fails to make me happy, sod the world if they don't like it)

Shiny, Shiny - Haysi Fantayzee (Wasn't Kate boooteeefulll)

Last Christmas - Wham (For mine, the clip for this song represented how life should be in a utopian bizarro world, one of the greatest clips of the 80's).

Gloria - Laura Branigan (RIP, that dance....in the clip....it was crazy).

Crush on you, You got it all - the Jets (the Jets, apparently, were one of the first families to immigrate to the US from Tonga, aren't you lucky they did).

Supersonic - JJ Fad (Great Prom song from 88 in the tri state area).

Shattered Dreams - Johnny Hates Jazz (As my partner thought it was "Shadow Dreams" which works I guess)

Hands to Heaven - Breathe (God boys? I'm not sure)

Highly Strung - Spandau Ballet (In the video clip if you slow it down and pause it at just the right time you can see the Chinese girls nipple).

These are just a few, but there are, with no exaggeration, a BILLION more.

If people have to have that "Oh, that isn't cool" attitude towards something, then they are the ones with the hang-ups, and that's not cool!

Funny how some things are similar. I will admit I liked a lot of Debbie Gibson tracks in the 80s. Also like Rockwell (the whole LP is worth having), have all the Air Supply CD's, really like Time Bandits (another great song by them is Only Shooting Love); Eddie Murphy's Party All The Time was recently lambasted by VH1 critics as one of the worst songs ever, but I liked it. Where do these asswipe critics come from anyway? They act like they are THE authority on this stuff, yet some of them look like they were at best 10 years old in 1985.

Like most of Madonna's early stuff.

Fun Fun - all girl synth dance stuff, I really liked them. Color My Love is still such a great track.

VH1 and Blender magazine. I agree that they were way off. Ever hear Wow by Kate Bush? Ugh...

I really like Wow by Kate Bush, it is just one of her many magical songs. I can see where some people may not care for it. Most of my friends have no use for her, but I have been a huge fan since I first heard her back in 1978. Her videos are also very creative. Wish she would get some new music out, it has been an awful ling time since The Red Shoes CD.

I'm also a big Kate Bush fan. I was surprised to learn that Prince contributed on her "Red Shoes" release![:0]
Kate obviously has many fans. Hoping for a new release soon as well.
