Plastik44 where did you buy the Rational Youth's CD from? And which title is it? I have been looking for it, quite a while but without chance. Glad you liked the track!

I was astonished, too, but amazon offered it and it was so cheap that I've already forgotton how much it was. Oh, it was amazon.de (Germany).

@bob pompo:

I uploaded the whole Rational Youth EP, containing Holiday In Bangkok here:

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... 08761E77E9

The E.P. is part of the Rational Youth SIngles Box I'm currently sharing on the hub. Can't be online too often due to a lack of Broadband most of the time, but sometimes you can find me there[:)]..

I don't know where you are from but some of the marketplace sellers like DVDlegacy are located in the US so I'd send them an email and ask about how you can pay for the CD if you don't have a credit card.
BTW, they also sell the CD via Amazon.com.

thank you for reminding me, that I still search for the first 2 12" of them...[;)]

@Plastik44
I would suggest
SOLID SPACE
CAMERA OBSCURA (very much like Rational Youth - try to get it @ www.annaloguerecords.com / the guy of the label is really kind !!!)
ART STYLE (I just discovered it a few weeks ago - absolutely amazing synthpop from 1985 the 7" is hard to find )
SECOND DECAY (some more modern, but the music is really related to the 80s - even the isntruments that were used !!!)
OPPENHEIMER ANALYSIS (great Synthpop - great gig @ NEON-WELT in april [;)] try to get some previews here: www.oppenheimeranalysis.com)

I am from Greece, and my name is Daphne. Nice to meet you all!

Plastik44 Therefore I don't have the chance to use the US helpfull directions.I'll try amazon however.

Wavedancer 101 Thanks for posting the whole EP! So convenient the fact it was zipped, just hope I won't have any problems unzipping it. You see, my internet connection is not at all fast.That's why I don't think I am able to enter the Hub (?)

Plastikmann I'll check those you mentioned the sooner I can, thanx!

Latebar One of these days I'll post another one of my favourite synthpop tracks, which I have included in the same collection with ENERGY of RATIONAL YOUTH

I have had a problem with the zipped folder containing RATIONAL YOUTH's EP.. When a 50% (or so) is already downloaded, the connection fails. I'll try again though.

Liked Leaether Strip very much.
Below there is a link for MARINE BOY - Haunted. It is one of my favourite synthpop tracks, pretty dark. I just wish I could find anything more about/by them.
indulge! [:o)]

You were right but I'm looking for the 7" version as I have the EP version but only a very bad mp3 of the 7" version. It's got more synths than the 12".
Thx, Plastik

While Lonely Days is my favorite song from Soviet, there are about 5 or 6 songs on the album that are just about as great, and the rest of the songs are still good. It's very similar to early OMD, so I definitely recommend picking it up if you like them.
You should be able to listen to a few other tracks here:
