Translator Revisited

Postby Grunch » Mon Sep 13, 2004 6:41 am

It seems down right sinful that Translator LP's have not seen the light of day on CD. They are absolutely masterpieces from the 80s and no best of CD is near good enough. Has anyone heard anything remotely close to these well overdue LP's making it to CD?? I have made CD-R's of all of them, but wouls scoop CD's in a heartbeat if they ever came out.

Sadly it seems that most of the 415 catalog is missing from CD

Someone had mentioned earlier on this board about a so-called Translator box set from Japan but I haven't seen any mention of it anywhere on the 'net.

"Un-Alone", "Everything Is Falling", "Gravity", "When I Am With You", "Breakdown Barriers", and of course, the classic, "Ronnie Reagan Blues". What is there not to love? Will spend serious $$$ for Translator...

I think many people would lay out some decent $$$ for Translator beyond the best of CD's that are out there.

I think I have a Translator CD. I'm pretty sure of it. I'll check when I get home and post which one at a later date.

I am betting you have one of the compilations; I don;t believe any of the LP's actually made it to CD. Certainly a shame. Comps are worth having for the b-sides
