They are affiliated in a way with the Hubert Kah/Sandra/Michael Cretu/Armand Volker crowd. Their best album is Swimming With The Sharks which sounds like the forementioned. The best two songs off of that album became singles, "No Longer Friends" and "Careless Love". They released an album here in the US but it wasn't very good.

I've seen some recent songs from Inga Humpe - I think it was trance/techno stuff.

The Three Of Us was a great song!

Humpe Humpe was a great album! I bought it when I heard Yama-Ha on the radio.

I know they are German and came from a band called the Neon Babies. That's all I know.

I remember really liking that song that was kind of acapella talking to a therapist apologizing for missing the appointment. I forget what it was called.

Inga's been active doing a lot of projects that nobody's ever heard of through the years. Her latest project is 2raumwohnung (which people have heard of, but typically not outside of Germany). She was quite involved in the whole techno scene, but 2raumwohnung isn't really one of her techno projects. It IS modern electronics (her partner in 2raum is Tommi Eckhrt, who had some great techno releases on the legendary Harthouse Frankfurt label as Pulse.

Anyways ... http://www.2raumwohnung.de (the name means "two room apartment").

Obs, very cool stuff! I've never heard of them before. I'd love to hear more.

The Humpty Dance was the bomb when I was in the sixth grade.
