I know that pic was taken while you were standing in line for Celine Dion's show! The marquee doesn't lie!

It all looks and sounds like a blast - some of the coolest NWO'rs and Vegas - what a combination. I would be in sensory overload.

It's great to finally see you BMG!

I really wish I was there to meet all of you!!!!

Now that's what I'm talking about! Thanks for reposting the picture. Maybe I need my eyes checked (and that wouldn't be a bad idea), but I couldn't see the original picture very well. Nice to see MAS bringing his charisma to the group.

Whenever I see pictures of our NWO gatherings I can't help but marvel at how none of the people knew each other before until they met on the Internet! Pretty cool, considering that everyone in this picture is from all over the country.

It was great to be with people whom I interact so frequently on this board. One of the things we talked about was how odd it felt to have live interaction with others, as none of us (save Blir) had attended a gathering before. And, oddly enough, it felt to me as if we were old friends just catching up on old times. It really was a lot of fun. I was not surprised at how incredibly sweet and thoughtful both Birdmadgirl and KYYX are. What great gals! And Blir is just a fantastic guy all the way around. Thanks for such a great time, you guys.

Don't you believe a word about the backless chaps and Celine Dion--those are all lies! Lies, I tell you! In fact, after BMG and KYYX had parted us, Blir, MOS (My Other Stimulator), and I strolled the strip, looking for tickets to get into "Headlights and Tailpipes" starring Blir's favorite, Lorenzo Lamas. Alas, it was not to be. Instead, we settled for some karaoke and drinks. It was more fun to watch all the other people on the strip than it would have been to see a show.

Here are some pics that MOS had taken. There was a group shot or two taken, but everyone's eyes were closed. So solly.

Here's Blir and Birdmadgirl:

Here's KYYX--just before the tequila:

Here's hoping that we can have another gathering very soon!

Thanks for posting the pics, gang![8D] Glad you all had a great time ... I wish I had more free time to make it out there this weekend. Our resident jet-setter Blir has all the fun![:D] It makes me really happy to see these gatherings take place and reminds me of how this board has helped us musically like-minded individuals come together, forge new friendships (if only online), voice grievances, share a joke, etc. This is what it's all about!

Honestly Mike P I hope you realize how you've helped bring so many people together online & what a service you've done for us. These get togethers are a testement to the friendships we've been able to make & we all owe a great amount of respect & debt to you for this site.

I know that is sometimes hard to hear, especially if you're the modest type or that you may not want to take that much credit - but without the outpost - we'd all be floating through cyberspace, clutching our B-movie records thinking we're the only ones who remember them!

I would never have thought I'd meet such a cool, friendly and awesome group of people on a message board!

Very very well put Wolvie!

And ditto re MikeP. I don't know how many of us absolutely "need" the Outpost, but I sure really "want" the Outpost and wouldn't want to think if it not existing. I mean, who the hell thought I'd go out and meet freakish "internet people" for chrissakes! [;)][:D]

I was thinking this morning of how I wanted to voice EXACTLY what Wolverine just stated so eloquently. Thanks, Wolv. And thanks, MikeP--you've created a great place for many wonderful people to have the chance to congregate.

I'm so jealous I missed yet another NWO party! I had a miserable weekend here in Boston suffering from severe seasonal allergies, I shoulda gone to the desert in Vegas to escape my allergies and to hang out with some fun New wavers.
