DEMISED thanks for the Kan Kan tracks, you are great! My webmaster probably doesn't like e-bay and doesn't allow me enter. So I am trying to collect tracks from here and there.(Problem:my connection is rally slow,ISDN, 64 kbps!) They have had 2 records right ?

WAVEDANCER 101 I heard this track in some place only once, I liked it verrry much and now I 've got it! Thanks! Tell me something, KABINETTE and CABINET are the same and they mean ''Toilet'' ?!! [B)]
And something else, I have never heard of any other track by DAS KABINETTE, except from this one. Don't they have others ? Where can I find ?

Hi bob pompo,
I don't really know the "ancient" meaning of Cabinet, but toilet sounds funny by the way[:D].
The Cabinet is the only song I know from this band, you can find it on a Compilation called "Tribute To Flexipop II", pretty hard to find though...
Apart from this: Check the "Recommend a Synthpop Group" for more Rational Youth..

Wavedancer 101 I've already answered you at ''recommend a synthpop group''. As for DAS KABINETTE, I looked the word up, it does mean toilet in some way, but also means ''ministry'' and some other things. Below, I have posted the lyrics, check them out!

I know the flexipop comps, I have bought vol 1 and vol 21, only I thought the price too high for just burnt CD's (which I found out when I received them).
By the way, any info upon SILVIA or NINE CIRCLES ? (-> flexipop vol 1)

Here come the lyrics, funny aren't they ?

Das Kabinette: The Cabinet

The mysterious Doctor Sonol
Over the asylum now presides
And his alias is Doctor Caligari
The fairground's a dark place to hide
In the cabinet lies Cesare
Who has slept these 25 years
Cesare knows all secrets
Ask him to look into your future

How long shall I live?
Until Dawn
How long shall I live?
Until Dawn

In the cabinet of Doctor Caligari
Lies Cesare with his black leaded eyes
The somnambulist awaits the Doctor's commands
And obeys as another man dies
In Doctor Caligari's cabinet
Cesare knows all secrets
In Doctor Caligari's cabinet
Cesare knows all secrets

Over the rooftops of Holstenwall
Ceasare carries off a girl named Jane
The ensuing downfall of the Doctor comes
When they find that he himself is insane
In the cabinet

Until Dawn
Over the rooftops of Holstenwall
Cesare carries off a girl named Jane
The ensuing downfall of the Doctor comes
When they find that he himself is insane
In the cabinet

How long shall I live?
Until Dawn
How long shall I live?
Until Dawn

Until Dawn

Wow! I had no idea that an extended version even exsisted. I do however remember these alternate lyrics from The March Violet's cameo in "Some Kind Of Wonderful". Thanks for this.

Now this request is about the most extremely rare one that I can think of. And it just popped into my head when the GoGo's came up in my iPod shuffle. If any group even has this, it'd probably be this one here. So does anyone have the original version of "Vacation" by the Textones? I've only heard it once or twice years ago on the Rodney on the Roq show.

Strange thing about Boulevard - Rainy Day In London is that 2 versions of this songs exists - one smooth (synth-pop-ish) and other
roking - both are good, but smooth is a bit better.
