<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lover_Speaks" target="blank">Here's an obscure band</a> that got mentioned on <a href="http://www.nwoutpost.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12824" target="blank">another thread</a> for being the originator of the 1995 Annie Lennox cover track 'No More I Love You's'

So here ya go.. <a href="http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=5F0227F945D5B705" target="blank">The Lover Speaks - No More I Love You's
</a>
BTW: WLIR gave plenty of airplay to a great remixed version of another track off their sole 1986 self titled album release.

I have a tape of Every Lovers Sign being announced as shriek of the week. Great song.

One day all those old tapes are gonna get converted to mp3.

Good stuff. Thanks. But as Anton pointed out, the first link is also to Every Lover's Sign, not No More I Love You's...
Not that I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth, of course. Well maybe a little... [;)]

Thanks 2nu ,I had forgotten that song! Another casualty of that "19-Kamikazes-for-my-19th-birthday" fiasco.[:D]

Damn, I've listened to this track now 4 times in the last 25 minutes. It's like being in my room in 1986 trying to fiddle with the antenna on my boombox so that I could get LIR's crap signal in the city all over again! [:D]

Few years ago I got a CD copy of their first album and their only MCD (No more I love you's). It contained an outtake and remixes if my mind serves correctly. I also got a decent copy of their second unreleased record (the big lie). I would dig that out if you want.

Anybody who has the third one or other mixes? Your help appreciated and highly welcome (as always).

Actually, it was a SCREAMER of the Week, from December 1986 at the original WLIR!! "SHREEEK" was the name WDRE used when they took over; first one being Depeche Mode "Route 66" on February 1, 1988.

This was one of my casualites of frequent moves. I had the LP but lost it over time. Foprtunately I've managed to get it by various sources other the years. Here's my favorite song on the album and one of my favorite tunes of all time: This Can't Go On!
