So who saw it and how was it?!!!!!!!

Oh..... saw it yesterday and I loved it. I didn't think I would dig it cause I don't like second (or third, in this case) parts of a movie saga. But I think this one's better than the first one.
The aesthetic of the movie is really cool... that gothy look that the mutants have.

Nerdy comment on the day about the movie:
The "cure to the mutant gene! were antibodies that suppresed it.
But (in reality) antibodies don't supress genes but recognise antigens which are strange substances to the being infected with them. Altered genes are part of an organism and thereby are not antigens.For example, have you ever seen someone with an extra toe (hehe..what an exmaple) being attacked by its antibodies cause of their genetical alteration??? No.
The way to suppress a gene (at least the one in know) is to create a knock out of that gene. And that technique it's not used in humans.
Then you can also repress a gene's trancription and posterior mRNA's translation in different ways... there are lots of studies on this topic (especially based on the Lac operon study).

Well.... I hope I've explained it well but I'm not that advanced on Molecular Biology and Immunlogy yet.. got like 10 years of studies ahead.

Mechi, The first thing you learn in Comics is that actual science goes out the window. Not even the term Fuzzy-Science can be used.

Examples:
A "radioactive" Spider biting someone and giving them powers?
A super-speed "vortex" occurs when the Flash runs in circles at high speed?
A chemical derived from a plant allows you to stretch any part of your body (but only for a short period of time)
Gamma radition doesn't kill you, it just makes you strong, green, and pissed-off (cue ending theme for The Incredible Hulk here)

Doesn't make them less fun to read/watch though...[:D]

Ok, so I saw it and as I asked on another thread, got a bootleg copy. (this being brooklyn and all) Anyway. what is the big secret after the final credits? I saw magneto move the thing. But they said something happens at the very end of the credits.

No, my dear Philly is not Magneto... go and see the movie again and wait during those long long credits. I did by recommendation of a lab partner and have to say it was so worthy.

But go... cos it's important!!!!

Yeah.... sci-fiction has anything but science.

Hi; didn't catch this topic till now-
I'm a HUGE Marvel Comics Fan- thought the movie could've been better, but still liked it tho.
