hi ,can you help.

Discuss hard-to-find or out-of-print New Wave and '80s Alternative, and share a few songs along the way.
NOTE: requesting songs that are entirely unrelated to the genres discussed here or easily found on CD is strongly discouraged and posts will be enforced as needed.

You've got to be kidding? For your first and one and only post ever on the NWO you want someone to burn you lots of free cd's for which you will provide accomodations in Jamaica? Riiiiiiight.

I look at it this way.
A few CD's and postage won't cost that much, plus a little time.
The potential reward of free accomodations in Jamaica is well worth the chance you might get burned.
If I were in a position to take some time (and afford the airfare) and visit Jamaica, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

People are so afraid of being taken advantage of over small things, they lose sight of the big ones sometimes.

Are you really going to travel to Jamaica with the hopes that a post on an Internet forum promised you free lodging and a boat ride? Seems way too silly to me, but apparently it won't be that difficult for china to find some sap, er, helpful soul to load him up with free music.

Knock yourselves out.

Of course, china could just hop on the hub and get the music himself.

I never said it should be done with no thought.
However verifying a name and address, particularly a business is by no means impossible and worth the effort before investing in plane tickets, let alone just showing up.

Of course if someone put as little thought into verifying the details as you did in your post, they'd deserve what they got.

Hey China, if you're really serious about your plan you should start by buying some "Mainstream"-Compilations like "Best of the 80s" or "Pop n' Wave" and not start by playing Underground stuff we're sharing here..especially in Reggae-Country..there's tons of New Wave Compilations available in stores. I would't start introduicing lovers of Black music to New Wave by playing "Bauhaus" in a Hip Hop Club either:-)

You people are so freakin' paranoid it's crazy. I know for a fact I will be a rich man since a Nigerian despot died and left a huge fortune, and it's mostly going to ME!

hello all. smiling while i read, well i will explain, i am taking over a place my rasta partner family owns in jamaica, and i want some old 80,s new wave, i am a london punk but dont have any new wave. so i need sombody to help me with the music. i dont mind paying a little somthing for it but realy wanted to create contacts for the future so i can have on going music coming in.

i also once established dont mind putting then senders of music up with accommodation if they fancied a holiday in jamaica, they could even help out in the bar and call it a working holiday.

i am not too computer literate,i am not even on the internet at my house because i am black listed by the bank,i am in a internet cafe so down loading music is very difficult.

so if you are interested get back to me and we can take it from there.

i wanted specialy selected tracks put down and stuff, so even to discuss it would be good.

thanks for all the comments and hope we might be able to work somthing out.

cheers,china.

need music for my bar in jamaica!!
