someone doesn't like me, i sent my request on monday and haven't heard anything. if the hype is true i should be in heaven if i can get connected

Folks on the hub will have access only to the folders which you make available to the hub. For instance, if you make your My Music folder available, then that's what people can access. I bought a separate external hard drive, and that's what all my music goes in to.
The instructions (for getting set up on the hub) are rather wordy, but they are exacting and easy to follow.
