Oasis’ debut picked as all-time best

Never cared much for Oasis. My top 3 all time bands would be...

#1 Led Zeppelin

#2 The Rolling Stones

#3 Pink Floyd

Compared to these 3 bands , Oasis sucks.

Fuck, I hate the Stones so much, I'll go with Oasis if I was given the choice between the two[}:)]

I hate the stones also. But I see their place in history. They were huge. The only songs I can listen to are sympathy for the devil, gimme shelter and she's hot. Ok, I was kidding about she's hot. I think they sold out many years before anyone else did. But I see their place in history.

Oh, Jethro Tull-m.u. is a great album. Thick as a brick, aqualung....

And what the hell about Tears for Fears? Songs From the Big Chair? Hello? England? Is anyone awake?

<br>This is such a shit list. I think part of the problem is that "British Hit Singles & Albums" are a part of Guinness Book of World Records. This list is likely just idiots off the street and not music fans with any shred of judgement. A similar NME-only list a couple of years back came out with this list below which looks more astute. Not a huge difference but enough key ones to make it more palatable: ....

I can't take any list seriously that includes Dexy's Midnight Runners on it!

WHOA! You NEED to hear this debut album of theirs. It is not about the "Come on Eileen" of two years later. This was before MTV and before New Wave had already jumped the shark. Get thee on the Hub BMG!!! (buzz me if you need help)

I'd love to hear it. HELP ME, PUH-LEEEEAAASE! I want to rape and pillage! In return, you will have access to about 9 million Cure songs and about that many KISS tracks (those aren't mine, BTW!).

Seriously, I have both a Mac (running Tiger) and a PC (that is pissing me off right now!!!! I'm working from home on the Mac, running four memory-eating hogs of progrmas and it's working beautifully. This ^*%&$&!*%&$ PC on the other hand is finding it difficult to do the most simple of tasks. Like post here and check email.)

Sorry. Got sidetracked. Had to get that off my chest.

What do I need to do? [:D] I'd rather use the Mac, if that makes a difference. I don't need to get any work done this weekend. All those clients can wait until later to see their proofs! [}:)]

Here's "Geno". More white soul than New Wave or anything else. Kind of a mix of early Andy Partridge enunciation, the Specials instrumentals, and Style Council soul. It's not for everybody...

Oasis trumps the Beatles?!? In Britain?!?!?

They were the most successful Beatles Cover Band in history! That's like putting Rancid ahead of The Clash...shame, shame, shame.
