Bands that sound like Depeche Mode: A Tribute

Depeche Mode is often cited as a huge influence to many bands. Whether it's from the 80s, 90s or now, their characteristic synth sound and vocals (whether it be by David Gahan or Martin Gore) have (in)arguably produced copy-cat styles. I can think of a handful right now, but I will start out with this classic staple that should be in every 80s (especially synthpop) fans' collection. I don't have any rare mixes of this track (does anyone?) so it has to be original:

Cause & Effect had that DM feel to many tracks

anyone enjoying that DM synth feel, may enjoy many of the CD's available thru A Different Drum. Seems they specialize in mostly synth pop kind of stuff. I've found lots of good things through their site and they have good service, at least this is my experience.

I second this.ADD is a fantastic store to buy Synthpop bands.I guess that would make me a Synthpopfan.[;)]

I played Russian Radio tonight a the club, (we never play any retro, only new house and breakbeat) and the crowd went wild, kinda reminded me of the good ol days

P.S: The second band is -or was, I don't know if they still play- Hungarian, one of the guys' hair looked exactly like Martin Gore's...

Actually, I contacted them through thier myspace page, and told them what a big fan i was, and how i used to play thier first (now very much out of print) cd at all the parties I dj'd, and after all was said and done, they sent me a burned copy of the first album on cd: Leave Me Alone. I listen to it almost daily.
