Lioness in zoo kills man who invoked God [:0]

Jun 5, 8:31 AM (ET)

KIEV (Reuters) - A man shouting that God would keep him safe was mauled to death by a lioness in Kiev zoo after he crept into the animal's enclosure, a zoo official said on Monday.

"The man shouted 'God will save me, if he exists', lowered himself by a rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lions," the official said.

"A lioness went straight for him, knocked him down and severed his carotid artery."

The incident, Sunday evening when the zoo was packed with visitors, was the first of its kind at the attraction. Lions and tigers are kept in an "animal island" protected by thick concrete blocks.

How so?" The only thing it proved was that the man was a dumbass. Sane believers (and sane non-believers) know better than to pull dumb stunts like that.

I totally believe in God but I'm not an idiot. God is not petty and does not get involved with stupid stuff like that. Why not say God will stop this bullet or he will save ..... you get the idea. This person was clearly mental. If you are going to climb into a den of lions....HELLO! Your getting eaten. That does not make me believe in God any less. Nature is nature.

Damn, all I meant was that the story was an amusing example of natural deselection. The guy won't be passing along any faulty genes any time sonn, now will he? [:D]
