I thought "Believe" was a solid tune. It received a fair bit of airplay on Modern Rock and AOR stations in early 1994.

Dig are part of a slew of entertaining yet forgotten one-hit wonder bands from the grunge-era.
Anyone remember Possum Dixon, Crush, Howlin' Maggie or Ruth Ruth?

I remember buying the CD - I think it was called "Radioactive" or something - for about a buck and being pretty impressed. Actually, most of the early nineties is a blur to me musically. I remember Spin Doctors, Sugar, Thunder, and my personal faves, the Milltown Brothers.

Is this off the album with the mutant potato on the cover? I think I bought that at one of the local thrift stores a few years ago. Never listened to it all the way through.

The only Dig for me were the SoCal group with Crowded House's Mark Hart on keyboards. The band formerly known as ComboNation. They had two great singles with "Foreign Girl" and "Chances" and went directly to the cut-out bins with them.

Possum Dixon was one of my favorite bands from the 90's, loved them, fortunate enough to see them with Ass Ponys in concert (another awesome band) and ironically I was ooking for info on them yesterday and found out their lead singer is now a magician!

Rob Zabrecky is evidently a man of many talents. His career path is undoubtedly a unique one! Possum Dixon were criminally overlooked for sure. Their last album is definitely a keeper.

Ass Ponys...there's a band I had forgotten about. I'll confess to having only heard "Little Bastard" though.

Their entire catalog is excellent, currently they are on hiatus while Chuck Cleaver pursues another project, accurately title Wussy which has a female singing on at least 50-60% of it instead of him and his unique voice and I didn't particularly care for it. Electric Rock Music is a very good record, if you like his quirky voice (which is definitely not for everyone) check them out! I have it shared on the Hub but would guess it's fairly easily available.[:)]

Just dug (no pun intended) out the CD, "Wasteland." Was pretty sure I had it. It is indeed off the one with the mutant potato on the cover. (Or is that a moldy piece of bread? What is that thing?) And the metal duckies on the back. Love the title of Track 11. I'm sorry to say that's all I love. Really bad album.

Ah yes, track 11. I don't suspect there's much nuance to be found there.

As for the picture on the cover, I've spent quite some time looking at it and still have no idea what it is or what, if anything, it is supposed to mean.

Oh, oops. It's not called "Wasteland." It's self-titled. The label is Wasteland. Mea culpa.

Now that I look at it, I think it's supposed to be a moldy loaf of bread. You know, 'cause there's a piece of toast on the back flap of the booklet.
