Yay Hunter! In the words of your buddy James Taylor "You've Got A Friend".

Now if only someone would translate that into English or mail me enough crack to smoke so that would begin to make sense .....

<br>Wouldn't you say it takes faith to be an atheist? You have to have faith in the theories of scientists. They're called theories because they haven't or can't be proved. No one was there when the universe began so how do we no for sure how it all started. As far as I know there really hasn't been too much found in the archeology department to support Darwinian evolution so you need "faith" to believe that Darwin was correct. All I'm saying is that you can't prove that evolution is 100% and I don't think you could prove that there isn't a god or other higher intelligence. In the end an atheist's "faith" isn't much different than that of a believers.

There are "theories" which have quite some proof, including evolution. There are also "laws" in science. The vernacular definitions of those words are not the same. Scientists can put faith in a hypothesis, which is just a guess. A theory is fairly solid and comes from real life observations of many people over time. In the end, you cannot equate someone knowing scientific evidence over something which others can only guess at and cannot prove at all.

My brother sent me this email and link a few weeks ago:

"Check this out: http://www.apatheticagnostic.com/index.html
I sent in an application to be a minister, so in case I ever get a sitcom moment at a wedding when the minister doesn't show up, I'll be able to marry people. Also, they celebrate Festivus."

Not at all. I'm by no means an expert on organized religion, but being placed in a role of servitude just rubs me the wrong way. That servitude seems to be a cornerstone of most faiths.

I don't have "faith" in the scientific community, I consider and evaluate their findings. I will say this: their ability to prove their hypotheses far outstrips the ability of organized religions to prove anything.

They're all losses if you ask me, he blows like a 50 year old Bulgarian hooker but makes no sense at all. If "head up your ass" is a faith, Quite Life has mastered it.

I didn't realize the purpose of a faith was to look down your nose at everyone else...sanctimonious ass.
