Yowch Hutter. You have my sympathies.
I've had one of those before and you're right, it does hurt. First, I put a Bandaid on it and tried to leave it alone. That didn't work because the Bandaid kept coming off. The next thing I did was get a mirror to actually check out the damage. After I got through crying at the sight, I decided to operate. Alcohol, tissues, mirror, needle, and a leather belt to bite (that's the important part).
Then, using an incredibly tricky and arcane move involving unknown joints in the spine and hips, combined with plenty of grunting and swear words and my trusty needle, tissues and mirror, I managed to just lance the edge of the monster. I was okay until I got impatient and actually dared to apply a little presssure to hurry the process. I heard someone screaming and saw flashing lights and then everything went black. When I woke up, I figured it must have been me doing the screaming.
Just so you know, everything came out alright and I did not have any other problems. I applied some alcohol which caused another round of screams, some Neosporin, and yet another Bandaid, and everything healed up nicely.
I've almost learned how to walk again and hardly ever drag the leg on that side.
