Who Has Held Up The Best?

Postby driverx » Mon Sep 27, 2004 1:43 pm

Many of our idols from the 80's haven't held up too well, but some have done surprisingly well, especially considering the excesses that can go with a music career. Who do you think has held up well as far as looks go?

I would have to say Terri Nunn from Berlin, Billy Idol (has he aged at all? I think he has a portrait of himself in his basement that ages...), and Siouxsie Sioux. Even David Bowie still looks pretty good, though he did have that heart thing.

Anyway, who else?

Prince, although 45 years old, looks like he is in his early 30s. Depeche Mode look OK. In fact Dave Gahan recently did a modeling job.

Yeah and I agree with David Bowie. Especially for someone who had a career in the 70s. And Billy Idol, holy shit! He still looks pretty trim. I still maintain that Susanna Hoffs from The Bangles looks pretty sexy.

Russell Mael and Ron Mael from Sparks. These guys have been playing since 1971 and look great! Go to allsparks.com to see for yourself.

Ollie:

Do you happen to have any links to recent pictures of Annabella. Just for research purposes, of course...

Thanks for the pics. Damn, she does look good.

I saw on Kim Wilde's website that she is the spokesperson for PMS Awareness Week. (I can't believe they didn't give it a month...)

I took my 6 year old to a playground which is conveniently located 2 blocks from a record store. After playing for awhile we walk into the store, I'm browsing around and my son

Definitely Billy Idol & Steve Stevens. It's almost scary because when they performed "Rebel Yell" in concert, they looked like they just travelled here from 1984.

The Go-Go's look pretty good. They look more mature but they don't look old.

Gary Numan's looking pretty good for a 46 year-old. In fact, he looks younger now than he did ten years ago.

I know you'll roll your eyes at me, but the newly reunited Duran Duran look HOT. They have aged REALLY well, especially Simon Le Bon. He has definately gotten hotter with age !
