I gotta say I was blown away at my wife's simple gift - 50 Kurt Warner football cards scoured off ebay. Wow, a complete surprise, and what a stud chick! To a die-hard lifetime Rams fan, Kurt was, is, and always will be THE hero for bringing home the Lombardi Trophy. Yeah, it was equal parts Marshal Faulk and yeah I cringe when he publicly gets over-religious, but all is always forgiven for that epic and magical 1999 season. Stuff like that is enough to fuel a fan for the rest of his life.

LOL, let's just say I woke up to a very cooperative wife this morning [;)] I got a fresh blueberry pancake breakfast and all this great music and movies:

Now we're off to visit Sand's Point, one of the many estates here on Long Island's North Shore. Formerly a Guggenheim estate, the beach front property was converted to a museum and has acres of woods to stroll through. Right now, there's a dinosaur exhibit which this dad and his kids are going to totally geek over [:I]

I came home. I randomly showed up at my house- and I brought a lot of tequila. We had fires in cauldrens and tiki torches. Dad got a GINOURMOUS grill- the reason is- with now me and the sis away- they just kinda cook in their spare time.
We had 70s rock music.
It was pretty awesome.

I drank WAY too much and hugged the porcelin throne. My parents laughed at me this morning.

Mama came in and said "How about some tequila for breakfast?"
And I ran to the restroom.

We had lots of good times though- we talked about everything. In the eyes of normality- we appear to be a racy group of people. But shrouded in the strange expressions and crude language...and the whole being so down to earth that you're a few feet under it- there is a group of really really smart people.

You think that I could be this weird and come from a normal family?

Worked my day off last night (10pm-6am) as a swap favor for a coworker.

Came home, napped for an hour until my nursing infant spewed on the bed.

Got up with the intention of changing the sheets and skipping breakfast so we could still make it to church.

That is, until my 3 yo son decided to irretrievably stick one of my daughters doll accessories up his right nostril.

Time to ring up the pediatrician (thankfully he has hours on Sunday). Okay, so no church today..

My wife thankfully relieves me of that task and $15.00 for the copay.

While they're away at the pediatrician, I do some chatting on the hub.

A short time later after a successful doll mitten 'extraction' they're back and it's now time to get on the: what does child 1, 2 or 3 need? merry go round.

This continues for the better part of 2 hrs during which time I'm making tentative plans to get everyone out to the community pool since it is FREAKING GORGEOUS OUTSIDE.

That entails a full wardrobe change plus sunscreen for all.

By this time my wife has had enough of the screaming infant, 'Thing one' & 'Thing two'.

It's 11:30am and neither one of us has eaten anything and she's getting the shakes.

After the 3rd or 4th kid reprimand for 'this''that' and 'the other thing', my wife bags the pool idea.

Okee.. let's see what else we can do with what's left today?..

I know..take the wireless lappy outside, set up the iM2 speakers and crank some winamp tunes with a beer and get a buzz on while I'm typing this rant..

Oh yeah.. Happy Fathers Day!

Woke up at 5. Went to work. Went to home depot. Got tools. Handed tools to my kids. Kids handed tools back. Said thanks. (wife ignored me)

The wife and I went to Shea and watched the Mets beat up on Baltimore today. Spent the rest of the evening with the extended family. Got a few more neckties. I must have well over one hundred of them by now.
