Orator Johnny Rotten lends his style to New York City's Metropolitan of Art Museum's current exhibit, Anglomania. The show celebrates the ongoing synergy between Britain's rock stars and fashion designers beginning in 1976 when punk's wicked music and subversive clothing owned and ruled all.

That's it. I'm getting out my [properly laced mind you, none of this American criss cross bollocks] Doc Marten's and goin' to New York matey!

Okay no not really.[V]

But if anyone here checks out this exhibit can we get a full report? Philly? Come on, you know you wanna!

And now, from the immortal Alexi Sayle, I bring you:

"There was a song in charts recently, about black and white people together on the piano, now I might be a bit stupid like, but that's a lot of crap"
It's not class or idealogy
Colour, creed or roots
The only thing that unites us
is Dr. Marten's boots

Dr. Marten gave us boots
in the world
So that everybody would be free
They're classless, maxless ?
And retail for only 39 pounds 99p

Pretty soon everyone will be wearing
Those boots with the airflow soles
And your boots will have a meeting
And your boots will take control
Dr. Marten's, Dr. Marten's, Dr. Marten's boots

(Okay, I copied and pasted that from another link, but a couple of those lyrics just don't seem right. What episode was that from? Oil, right? I gotta watch that tonight and verify this. Now it's bugging me.)
