My Trip To Bill's Records

Postby djcory » Mon Jun 19, 2006 8:26 am

I just got back from Dallas, Six Flags was too crowded and too hot Sunday, but Saturday, I got some great stuff at the one and only Bill's Records, and he didn't even screw me (that bad)! Anyway, American Soviets was always one of my favorite club anthems from the late 80s, and I never had the chance to pick up the import version of it, so here it is, fresh the bowels of Bill's Records, "American Soviets Part 2 (Live From Moscow)

Here is isle 2 of DANCE MUSIC @ Bill's, man, my neck hurts.

Great work Cory! Looks like Bill has put some cash back into the store, the last time I was in there they still had the wooden racks that all the records were in. Is he still in the same location across the street from Albertsons on Spring Valley?
Awesome mix of Americam Soviets I had no idea there was a #2! Thanks for posting it!

Yep, same location, but he's moving next year, and he didn't say where to. And yeah, the racks are way better than the old crickety tables with boxes on top.
BTW, he has an ebay store with some of the more "in demand" stuff listed, and with BUY IT NOW prices, so there's no guessing how much everything is.

The sleeve is what caught my eye, I had seen it before in other djs' crates, but didn't realize the mix was different too.

Here was the domestic sleeve, (except for the text at the bottom that says UNITED STATES OF EUROPE)

Everything is indexed by ARTIST now (well mostly). Much easier than before, when it used to be by LABEL.

I think he is Downtown now by the American Airlines Center. Right by Hooters. Not that Bill would enjoy any of that
