So said a writer about the Youngbloods' "Get Together", which is still amazingly relevant today. I agree. Which are the truly "sacred" songs of Rock & Roll? Not limited to New Wave but at least to the 60s-00s and maybe what was at least somewhat "alternative" for that era. Thoughts? Why...and why not if you don't agree with some of the selections?

70s - Ziggy Stardust by Bowie
80s - LWTUA by Joy Division (heh)
90s - Tonight, Tonight by The Smashing Pumpkins
00s - hmm, not sure any have made this cut yet, maybe The Modern Age by The Strokes?
