Ain't much of a deal once you factor in his handling charge. And, for me, NY sales tax.
But, here's the kicker -- was it actually new? I got suckered twice by him, because I didn't realize when he went on ePay that it was the same loser with the one-star rating on gemm. The first time, the LP was advertised as new. It wasn't. The cover was also a cut-out with a really ugly drill hole (he "forgets" to mention things like that a lot all the time, I understand), is too stupid to even bother to reshrink anything used he wants to dishonestly pass off as new, and had the nerve to tell me it was an import and imports are never shrinkwrapped (it was a fucking U.S. pressing!!), but at least he sent the right item, such as it was. Because the second time? Uh...
Apparently, he's "fine" to deal with as long as he doesn't screw up. Because the instant you politely (I'm always professional) notify him of a problem on his end, then the claws come out. When I asked him to send me a prepaid mailing label or PayPal me the $1.73 it was going to cost me to return the wrong item with DC (again, I'm still being professional), I got a sociopathic email back IN ALL CAPS that I'm trying to scam a free item out of him, and he sent the right item all along. I had enough of dealing with him by that point, and just opened the SNAD complaint and let PayPal deal with it. At that point, I think he figured out through his psychotic brain that he sent the wrong record, and I ended up having to return it anyway out of pocket, because that is how PP stupidly operates. (Yeah, I could have sent a piece of cardboard back to him, but I'm an honest guy.) Grudgingly, when he got it back, he refunded. No, I never got what I actually bid on and won, and that was the end of "our relationship." Two strikes, you're out.
Of course, I stuck him with a partial chargeback for the return shipping amount and left negative feedback for the disgusting email I had to read. And of course he retaliated, but I didn't care. His ePay feedback speaks for itself.
I already have a copy of "Vertical," so it wasn't a real loss. And going back on topic, I agree, that one definitely needs to be on CD.
