<br>lemmi, what is it like there in Germany now? Have you been able to go to any of the games? Is it very expensive?[/quote]

Ticketprices are between 35 and 600 € (Category I for Final Match), but Tickets are VERY rare and hard to get, months before the World Cup starts... just EVERYBODY wants one, so I was not able to grab one. :-( But the feeling here is at the moment absolutely unbelieveable, sometimes about 700.000(!!!) people watch the Football-Matches together with many, many foreign Fans on "Public Viewing"-Places on huge Screens in almost every City - it`s a big, big Party everywhere, a fantastic happening! It`s just great.

And... England...? Hm, I´m a bit disappointet about that Team, thought they are one of the big favourites, but... [:D] Let`s see!

Actually, in school I once wrote a paper about Uruguay, and the first line of it was "Uruguay is a country that when mentioned in casual conversation usually receives the response "I'm WHAT!?"

I got a 99 on it.

I'm really sorry for you... but cause Mexico was eliminated that means that Argentina moves to the next round!!! [:D]

Thw whole country is partying hard today... except myself... I spent all my day studying immunology. [:p]

Uruguay is a pretty cool country.. has Punta Del Este... a really "in" beach area. Though it doesn't have the variety of landscapes or extension that Argentina has. And yes Uruguay is "guayer" than Paraguay actually.

I work at the local police department. We actually have a liverpudlian officer at patrol north.

I've written a note to myself to give him shit about England's elimination.

To rub salt in the wound, I'm going to call his supervisor and complain about him--as an englishman--being allowed to take a fourth of July holiday.

Thanks.. actually the whole population of the country looks as if someone has died. It's like a graveyard.
This Friday, I entered my lab class and everyone look so depressed... that led me to start joking around so as to raise spirits (though I don't feel well myself but it has nothing to do with the match). By the end of the class, most of my partners were laughing and ok.
