I'm mulling over more important topics, like what were the Top 3 uses of a new wave song in a John Hughes film....
My votes
(1) Thompson Twins "If you were Here" in Sixteen Candles - - makes whoever you're looking at when you hear the song become the most beautiful creature in the world.
(2) Sigue Sigue Sputnik "Love Missle F1-11" in Ferris Bueller - - the parents finally out of the house, he turns on the stereo, the sky is a perfect summer sky, and life is good.
(3) Toss-up: Either New Order's 'Perfect Kiss' as Molly designs her prom dress OR Smiths "Please Please Please Let me get what I want" as Duckie sits alone miserably, both from Pretty in Pink. Both just seem to match the scene.
