<br> Don't get it wrong, my disappointment isn't with those who ask for these songs (they are usually either newbies or hammered), it's with the site moderators who should step in to remove the requests when they are out of line with the stated essence of the board. If they won't do that, then perhaps they should redefine the point of the board to more accurately reflect all the incoming requests.

To eight6 and others
Given the ongoing and renewed debates (both here and elsewhere) regarding what constitutes 'relevant' NWO musical content/preferences, freedom to express divergent views, 'netiquette' and the like, there have been a number of call outs to the mods to respond, intervene intercede..what have you.
However, when we do just that, we are subsequently criticized for not going far enough or going too far.
Listen folks, we are NWO members too, each with their own particular personalities, views, opinions and ideosyncracies (for better or for worse).
As individuals and as fellow mods, we have to continually weigh the pros and cons of EVERYTHING that is posted on the boards.
It is and has been (for the most part) a thankless undertaking and we suck it up daily to deal with that.
It just seems the recent discussions calling attention to the aforementioned issues are more often than not, ones that polarize people on either side of that particular issue leaving no room for concensus or a 'happy middle ground'. So what is one to do?
As for 'redefining the point of the board', that is up for Mike P. to decide, not the Mods.
The best we could do (right now) with regard to the aforementioned was getting the polling feature enabled here and in the other forums so as to afford the membership an opportunity to vote on this and other issues.
