A request for some music

Discuss hard-to-find or out-of-print New Wave and '80s Alternative, and share a few songs along the way.
NOTE: requesting songs that are entirely unrelated to the genres discussed here or easily found on CD is strongly discouraged and posts will be enforced as needed.

That's ok, Mr. Prefab Sprouter. Let's keep this rolling before those self-righteous ^&*#@&*! start calling our attention for posting commercially available/ not very obscure music. [;)]

Listen, I'm beginning to detect a little disrespect for this section of the board and a slightly dismayed by comments like the above. I'm providing a service that costs you nothing (costs me quite a bit actually). I suggest that people start exercising a little more tact regarding requests and sharing. As for sharing common stuff ... again, I prefer to see out-of-print and hard-to-find stuff recorded from vinyl shared here. I never intended for this section to turn into the equivalent of a P2P site where people request anything and everything. There's a New Wave Hub for that and it's much more compatible with these kind of requests ... please look into it.

OK Then,

Since Mike P. has weighed in on this, let's show him and the site the respect that it is due.

That first includes sparing us the cutesy, passive aggressive backhanded retorts (emoticons or not)

and second, letting the mods enforce his ascribed policies forthwith..

The tracks I've loaded up since I came out of the dark ages and figured out how to use yousendit:

Do I need to not share so many?? If I am sharing more than the mods think is appropriate, no problem, I can scale them back. I've tried to keep them pretty obsure, or hard to find, etc....last night I planned to share 5-6, but kept coming across others in my files and before you know it, I probably sent too many tracks onto this site. I can do one song a day, or two, if need be. No problem. I guess there is such a thing as posting too many, no matter if they are obscure or not.

Wouldn't it be nice to ban the use of the smilies when people are being sarcastic but use the [:p][;)][:o)] to justify it. [;)]
