Non-80s mp3 Sharing Note

I know this section says for 80s, but not sure where else it is okay to post mp3's. Seems this is the section everyone checks when looking for music, so hopefully no one will object to some tracks from other periods as well being shared here. I can put them elsewhere, but for sharing convenience, this seems the best place for them.

I think some others also post tracks that are not exactly that period... Speaking for myself, I'd be glad to hear stuff you consider worth listening !

I'd gather so long as the tracks are out of print / v.hard to find, it should'nt erk too many people?

From a selfish perspective, it would be better for me to have the OOP, new wave related, but not necessarily exactly 80s, stuff posted in this forum.

I have enjoyed your selections (along with a lot of the other stuff posted here), but tend to avoid the circular arguements in the Not Necessarily New Wave forum.

Out of respect for Mike's decision, as I understand it, I don't think posting anything clearly outside the realm of new wave or obscure late 70s and 80s stuff would be okay. I am happy to be a member here, so will respect the decisions made.

I did sneak in one 60s track last night before Mike's decision, but it was Deborah Harry's band back then. Thought it would be of interest perhaps.

GRUNCH, what I meant was that,for example, I would be interested in listening to an obscure D.Bowie's recording back from the 70's, or an underground dark moody track by Tom Waits or Randy Newman, or by an artist whose main decade was the 90's but whose tracks seem to "fit" in the 80's...After all, I mentioned the word "exactly" in my first message. [:)]

I think it would be best not to as some the examples given (Tom Waits and Randy Newman) by yourself are not associated with New Wave at all so would be best not to include them. As for those similiar to New Wave without being New Wave itself again it would be best not to include them as they have no direct link with the period. This 'something similiar' is something Mike understanbly wants to avoid so it's best to stick to New Wave artists. [:)]

[;)] Well, as far as NIN are included...And synthpop, gothic, dark wave, industrial, ebm, even italo-disco.........Just wish you could hear this Randy Newman's track I'm talking about, totally different from his usual style, could be a good dark N.W. track,like some Peter Murphy's personal recordings.Unfortunately, can't rip it.

Considering Proxies and Fantastic Something, I am not sure if you meant particular groups..If you did, I haven't heard of them, sorry!
