Homeland - From 1989 EP (Cure-sounding)

Postby Grunch » Wed Jul 05, 2006 9:58 am

Help. This is track 1 from their 1989 EP called Homeland. I actually mastered mine from a cassette, but it sounds pretty decent. There are just no song titles listed anywhere. There are 6 songs on my CD made from the cassette, anyone having any knowledge of the track names for these 6 songs????????????

I think they were from So.California ??

Luckyducky91, I discovered The Essence about 1986 living in New York, and have loved them since. I've made a point to scoop every CD, every CD single, any vinyl not on CD (a few tracks), even their best of since it has some new tracks on it. I concure about the Cure sound. Man, they could pass for The Cure on many tracks, and they have luscious songs throughout every single release.

Maybe I should post some Essence tracks tonight from each of their releases.

They were phenomenal, though I wonder what has happened since as far as I can tell from their website, they've not done anything now for quite a few years (maybe 1997?)
