When he said Jimmy Jimmy, I thought it was "I Met Her in Paris."

Anyway, Rubbeet, here's something I know you'll enjoy...a hit in our homeland...that soaring chorus still gives the chills:

Mmmmm, the Adventures! Salamat, Mikey! Now, I feel so nostalgic...(but Wozgo always tends to remind me of this song too. Wozgo, you creep![:o)]). Anyway, somebody was kind enough to give me a live concert footage of this song along with "Two Rivers". Yup yup...[8D]

Now, "I Met her in Paris"... that is something I would really wanna see.

Great selection of videos! A good handful of those have never been played on VH1-C before and it's doubtful they will ever air on the channel, but thanks to someone like Scott here for uploading them on youtube so the entire world can watch them and not have to sit around and wait for them to air on VH1-C

Romeo Void - Chinatown, oh wow ... this one is surely rare, where did you manage to get such a clear copy of this?

Polyrock - Working On My Love, I never knew there was a video for this

Horizontal Brian - Practicing First Aid, one of my favorite videos of the '80s, I have a real crappy quality taping from MTV back in '83 this is a NICE UPGRADE! to watch

The Swingers - Counting The Beat, I know VH1-C played "One Good Reason" but what a treat to see this one

What a fantastic collection, you must have worked really hard to get those videos, I look forward to seeing more rare treats in the future

<br>Would you happen to have the music video for "Drowning In The Sea Of Love" by The Adventures?
[/quote]

I couldn't tell you off hand. I know I have some videos by them, but I can't say what. In addition to the 15 DVD's of VH1-C captures, I have an entire wall full of VHS tapes, several still not cataloged.

Romeo Void was obtained by a former mutual acquaintance of ours. I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. He purchased a few Rockamerica reels directly from Rockamerica a couple of years ago, copied them and dumped 'em on eBay. That's also where I got the rare Killing Joke and Swingers videos.

Horizontal Brian was my only successful request aired on the short lived MTV2 request hour, which started shortly after the whole A-Z marathon ended. Since they dumped that one during the countdown, it was towards the top of my list at the time. I could never get it on VH1-C though.

I made copies of "Practicing First Aid" for a couple friends several years ago. (I think one of them wanted to see it, maybe because it wasn't aired during the marathon in question or something, so probably I mentioned some of the old clips I dug up.) He told me ripped it and stuck it -- and a bunch of other clips I taped back in '83, '84, '85 -- on Kazaa, Grokster and a bunch of the binary groups. I didn't have great TV reception back in '83 (and a lot of the tapes I've managed to turn up haven't aged well, anyway). Not as great as this, that's for sure.

Man, I don't think I've seen "Chinatown" since... probably '83. What, with Dog Police's "Dog Police" and X-Teens' "Change Gotta Come," this has been a good year for me getting back in touch with some of my old faves!

So, videos like :

Cristina - Ticket To The Tropics or Real Life - Babies could have been aired if someone requested them?
