Half of those could be had with a 5 minute visit to Soulseek...but let's not get proactive or anything.

*sigh*

Eight-6 is right, you know. I really don't see what's wrong helping yourself first, before you go and help yourself, if you know what I mean. I been doing that for years. And Eight-6 at least once has provided me with a song that I spent fruitless years looking for on P2P.

Years ago a poster at Torchmatic's site described Soulseek as "an embarrassment of riches." It's even more embarrassing these days. With a little persistence you can find almost anything, and discover things you didn't even know you were looking for while you're going at it.

The whole point of this is to prevent this forum from getting out of control and stay somewhat with the bounds of it's original intent (ah, we're well beynod that already). A few of the songs you listed I never heard of (maybe I have?) so I can't comment on how many copies of each may be floating in the ether, but it's worth finding out for yourself first.

I've always been willing to help those looking for it. For example, here's <a href="http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=6F24E04D5072B2BC" target="blank">New York New York</a>. I found it on Soulseek 3 years ago.

Peace

Smugness has nothing to do with it. Half of those could be found on Soulseek in a minute. Read the forum header jackass.

You won't piss me off asshat, but chances are you will piss off MikeP, who will then ban posting song links period. Sharpe + Numan - Change Your Mind...yeah, hard to find and out of print. Ditto the Nina Hagen and Front 242 tracks. Instead of showing your total ignorance and lack of respect for the effort put into developing this site show a bit of decency...or is that beneath you?

most certainly it is beneath me.

all of those songs are indeed obscure and very difficult to obtain.
nowhere does it say that we are to try other P2P sites and only use this site to share out of print/obscure/rare as an absolute last resort.

now you are just making up rules to fit your bias against club music.
or something because you have certainly taken it to an irrational state.

here is the quote from the forum header, einstein.
Discussions about CD-R and MP3 trading, recording vinyl to CD/MP3, and the Obscure80's archive of music.
NOTE: Despite past abuses, the intent of this board is for discussing/sharing hard-to-find or out-of-print New Wave and '80s Alternative. Requesting songs that are entirely unrelated or easily found on CD is strongly discouraged and posts will be enforced as needed.

if the songs requested in this thread are not hard to find and are not out of print and are so very easily obtainable on CD then get off your self-admitted slackass and find this stuff for dj phat phreddy. or is that beneath you?

every song in this thread qualifies as obscure.

oh, and if mike p. has something to say regarding this thread, i welcome it, but i think you, 86 are a wuss for invoking mike p.'s name in every damned thread because you have an ax to grind with God knows who.

Always invoking Mike's name, what a load of shit. Hopefully he drops a quick note here re-inforcing what I have stated above. And as far as axe grinding, I'm not the jerk disrespecting Mike's site. Besides, you're just one of many here with too much mouth and not enough brains, and therefore aren't worth any more of my time.

However, in summary:

Front 242 - W.Y.H.I.W.Y.G or just about anything available on SoulSeek.

Sharpe/Numan - Change My Mind - I think it's on at least 3 CD's, and again, all over Soulseek.

The Lords Of The New Church - Dance With Me Oooohh, a supreme rarity!!!

Nina Hagen - New York New York give me a break...real rare.

That's funny, I thought voicing my opinion that the site was becoming a sanctuary for a couple of lazy asses was worthwhile. I guess I'll follow your lead and do whatever the hell I want; like continuing to post my opinion...you know, live and let live.
