The funny part of "Last Comic Standing" is not the necessarily show itself -- nor is it the horrible comics they put in the house because they expect them to cause scenes (or because they're friends with the producers) -- but all the backstage drama and behind-the-scenes office politics. Like for instance, the temper tantrum Drew Carey threw when he found out his votes as a judge didn't matter. I.e, the irony of Anthony Clark becoming the host this season after joining Drew in storming off the set when he was a judge last time around. Or perhaps former host Jay Mohr being credited as a consultant after becoming persona non grata at NBC for badmouthing the network on his website. Funniest of all is of course how NBC pretty much shitcanned the show two years ago, refusing to even air the finale (opting instead to replace it with reruns of a different show they shitcanned two weeks later), after forcing the producers to rush-produce a mutated version that drove the audience away, and now finding NBC so utterly desperate as to go grovelling back to the same producers to give them more of it.

Yes, it is a terrible show (what would anyone expect from the guy who brought you "Saved by the Bell?") but its badness is what makes it entertaining to me. Fat, sassy, sexually pent-up, black mamas like Roz? Not so much.

I recently went two days without watching television. I don't know why. No one ever seems to notice when they go any period of time without listening to the radio, though. And the Internet...Don't get me started on the Internet...

I thought that Rock Star Supernova wasn't released here in Argentina.... but it is!!! Just that it's on a different channel than Rock Star INXS. Watched it yesterday... and I liked it very much. [:D]

Anyway, we still are seeing episodes of soaps that up there have already finished their season.

Lost is getting every day more weird and better.

And House MD is my fav soap opera at the moment. [:D]

It's offical. My life is crap. I am taking and following orders from internet people to watch weird TV shows.

But you were right Philly, Always Sunny was pretty hilarious. These people are like Seinfeld 10X. Pretty crazy. The whole prom episode was hilarous. And a new wave tie-in to boot...Fiction Factory's "Feels Like Heaven" for the prom dance. LOL.

You guys are right, the first episode was just ok, but the second was great. I would say most of them are like the second. Its like sienfeld with a twist. The inside jokes, the plots that all tie together. You should have seen the stripper episode. Keep watching! It gets much better. That first one was just ok but that was the first I ever saw that was just ok.

Just started watching Dr Who recently. Pretty good series.

Anyone watching the recent series follow Dr Who before? I'm wondering how it compares to the previous incarnations.

Why did they change Doctors in this recent version anyways. Not that I'm complaining, but I'm curious as to whether Season One's Doctor sucked.

Season One-the actor left to pursue other things so they had to get another actor in. He was really good actually so check it out if you get the opportunity, he was a real wise-cracking guy. The new Doctor is good in a different way I think, they are all different. I'm interested to see what The Doctor's new assistant will be like next series![;)]

Okay, I've finished Season Two and started Season One. Only watched one episode of the "first" doctor, so don't want to comment yet.

Yeah, the end of S2 was sad. I'm glad they don't leave you hanging like they do over here, by having part two as the opener for the next season. The highlight for me was that episode with Madame de Pompadour or whatever her name was.

All in all, I really enjoyed S2. Great sci-fi show. It's light hearted and fun, unlike a lot of other sci-fi series on these days (not that serious sci-fi is a bad thing, but it's a nice change).
